LX Factory
|
LX is the acronym for Lisbon. LX Factory is an 23.000m2 industrial area in Alcântara that has been recently converted into a hub for creative industries. It was built in 1846 to host a large textile company and later the space was used by tipographies. Part of the machinery used by these former occupants is now part of the architecture and decor of the buildings. LX Factory is now home for hundreds of small startups and cultural associations in the fields of design, architecture, fashion, advertising, multimedia, casting, cinema, art, music, photography, antiques and vintage objects... as well as a wide range of restaurants, coffeshops and a kiosk with most international magazines.
